SUMMARY:2020 Cyber Risk Management Series: #1 Security of Critical Infrastructure
DESCRIPTION:After much consideration\, the Howard Chamber's 11th Annual Cyber Conference will be brought to you in a different format. For the past 10 years\, the Cyber Conference provided a forum for small and mid-sized businesses in Howard County and the region to meet with industry and government leaders to access current information on cyber-security. This year\, the committee had high hopes to bring an energetic\, interactive\, scenario based conference to discuss and understand "Risk Management" at all levels of a business. However\, we all believe that an in-person conference may not be a safe or plausible option for our members by June.\n\n \n\nWith both safety\, education\, and business development in mind\, we have decided to break the conference up into 4 webinars about Risk Management. These sessions will be interactive\, informative and a lead up to 2021's Cyber Conference. We sincerely hope to see everyone at our newly formulated "Cyber Series"!\n\n \n#1 - Security of Critical Infrastructure - June 25\, 2020 (1:00pm-2:30pm)\n\n\nCritical Infrastructure has always been a target for hackers (domestic and international)\, and the cyber security aspect of our critical infrastructure is key to the safety of our power grid\, water purification\, sewer treatment\, and every day life. In many locations across our country\, our critical infrastructure are maintained on closed networks\, or with minimal paths to the open internet. In today's society of (specifically during today's pandemic)\, our network and cyber security professions are working in a very remote based world. This panel discussion will explore how companies\, municipalities\, and other organizations work to maintain the cyber security of our critical infrastructure while working in a predominate remote/telework environment.\n\n\n\nModerator: John Agnello\n\nPanelist: \n\n\n	Brandee Ganz\, Director of the Howard County Department of Technology and Communications (DTCS)\n	Jerry Davis\, a former researcher at NASA \n	Lucy Kerner\, Senior Principal Security Global Technical Evangelist and Strategist at Red Hat (Invited)\n\n\n\n \n\nFuture Topics:\n\n#2 - Business Risk in the Post-Pandemic World\n\nAugust 27\, 2020 (1:00pm-2:30pm)\n\nModerator: Patrick Wynn\n\n\n\n \n\n#3 - A Cyber Security Workshop: Developing a Cyber Strategic Plan for Your Organization\n\nOctober 29\, 2020 (1:00pm-2:30pm)\n\nModerator: Tina Williams-Koroma\n\nPanelists:\n\n\n	Brian Hubbard\, Director\, Commercial and Cyber Security\, Edwards Performance Solutions\n\n\n#4 - How Does a Remote Workforce Affect Your Organizational Security Posture?\n\nFebruary 25\, 2021 (1:00pm-2:30pm)\n\nModerator: Mike Finkel
