SUMMARY:2020 Cyber Risk Management Series: #3 A Cyber Security Workshop - Developing a Cyber Strategic Plan for Your Organization
DESCRIPTION:After much consideration\, the Howard Chamber's 11th Annual Cyber Conference will be brought to you in a different format. For the past 10 years\, the Cyber Conference provided a forum for small and mid-sized businesses in Howard County and the region to meet with industry and government leaders to access current information on cyber-security. This year\, the committee had high hopes to bring an energetic\, interactive\, scenario based conference to discuss and understand "Risk Management" at all levels of a business. However\, we all believe that an in-person conference may not be a safe or plausible option for our members by June.\n\n \n\nWith both safety\, education\, and business development in mind\, we have decided to break the conference up into 4 webinars about Risk Management. These sessions will be interactive\, informative and a lead up to 2021's Cyber Conference. We sincerely hope to see everyone at our newly formulated "Cyber Series"!\n\n\n\n#3 A Cyber Security Workshop: Developing a Cyber Strategic Plan for Your Organization\n\nAs the axiom goes\, if you fail to plan\, you plan to fail.  This also holds true with cybersecurity strategic planning.  Cybersecurity strategic planning can help organization owners\, executives\, managers and other stakeholders to answer such questions as: how much should we be spending on cybersecurity?  If we only have X amount of money\, what should we spend this money on that will have the greatest impact in terms of cybersecurity?  What expertise do we need to satisfy our cybersecurity requirements?  In this Workshop\, attendees will have the opportunity to gain insight from a local Howard County business case study about cybersecurity strategic planning.
