Patapsco Heritage Greenway Cleanup\n\nLocation: Meeting at the Normandy Shopping Center\n\nTime: 9:00 AM   12:00 PM\n\nHelp improve the Patapsco River watershed by collecting litter in the wooded area behind Normandy Wine & Spirits and removing nearby invasive plants along Sucker Branch. All supplies will be provided.\n\nVolunteers needed: Minimum 5\, maximum 25\n\nAge requirement: Must be 18+ or accompanied by an adult\n\nWeather: Will proceed in light rain\; canceled only if conditions are poor\n\n2. Respite Retreats Service Project\n\nLocation: Respite Retreats Center   6021 University Boulevard\, Suite 175\, Ellicott City\, MD 21043\n\nTime: 10:00 AM   12:00 PM\n\n\n\nSupport Respite Retreats by helping set up tables and chairs for an evening retreat\, assembling gift bags and resource folders for guests affected by cancer\, and assisting with light furniture assembly after their recent sewer line break required replacing several items. Your efforts help create an uplifting\, restorative environment for individuals and families navigating cancer.\n\nVolunteers needed: 4-7\n\nNotes: Tasks include a mix of standing and seated activities\n\n \n\n3. Community Action Council of Howard County\n\nLocation: Children's Learning Center at HCC   5600 Dragon Place\, Columbia\, MD 21044\n\nTime: 9:00 AM   12:00 PM\n\nBuild 5 raised planter boxes to be placed at CAC's Early Childhood Learning Centers around Howard County. All planter materials and tools will be provided. After assembly\, volunteers can help deliver the planters to CAC's Early Childhood Learning Centers\, where they will be filled with plants and soil.\n\nVolunteers needed: 3 5\n\nSponsorship Opportunity: Companies interested in donating to cover the cost of the planters can have their logo placed on a planter and receive a social media shout-out by CAC.
