About the speaker:
Michael Kelleher, Executive Director Maryland MEP
Michael Kelleher is the Executive Director of the Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MD MEP), a non-profit committed to the growth of the Maryland manufacturing community. In this role, Mr. Kelleher leads an organization that delivers programs and services that enable Maryland companies to become stronger, smarter and more profitable. Through these efforts, the MD MEP has generated more than $165 million in economic impact, more than 900 jobs and countless stories of success.
As the Executive Director of the MD MEP, Mr. Kelleher is responsible for all aspects of the organizational operations including client delivery, partner and stakeholder development and overall grant and program oversight. Prior to founding the MD MEP, Mr. Kelleher worked in both public and private sector, providing consulting, accounting and business advisory services to clients in the manufacturing industry for more than 15 years.
In addition to his work with the MD MEP, Mr. Kelleher serves as the Vice Chair of the Howard County Youth Apprenticeship Council, providing advice and guidance in the development of youth apprenticeship programs for the county. Mr. Kelleher is also active in his community and has served as a youth lacrosse coach for the last ten years. Mr. Kelleher has a degree in accounting from the University of Maryland at College Park and lives in Howard County, MD with his wife and five children.
