Leadership Howard County, which seeks to empower leaders to strengthen and transform the community, will hold the next general membership meeting “Navigating the New Normal: Connecting our Community During the COVID-19 Crisis.”
Erica Strauss Chavarria, who founded Columbia Community Care in March in response to the needs of community members struggling during the COVID-19 crisis, will share how she started the organization, lessons learned and what community leaders can do in support.
Columbia Community Care, which has over 6,000 members and hundreds of volunteers and donors, has provided groceries and household items to thousands of Howard County families in need. The virtual event costs $20 for members and $35 for nonmembers. To learn more and register, visit www.leadershiphc.org.
