Strategies to Reduce Maryland's Carbon Footprint

The transition to a deeply decarbonized economy is underway in Maryland, building upon over a decade

of climate change mitigation efforts led by the State, utilities, and other key stakeholders. Last April, the Maryland General Assembly passed Climate Solutions Now Act which sets a 60% decrease in greenhouse gases (GHG) by 2031 and net zero GHG by 2045. Meeting the ambitious goals will require pursuing a mix of technologies, including hybrid systems.

As the largest utility in Maryland, serving approximately half of the state’s residential, commercial, and industrial gas customers, BGE is a key partner in decarbonizing these sectors. Join the Chamber and BGE for what promises to be a highly informative and educational discussion.

Event Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received 48 hours before the event to receive a refund. Tickets available at the door as space is available and only with full payment upon arrival. If the Howard County Government Offices are closed to due inclement weather, HCCC events will be cancelled and reschedule at a later date. Otherwise, events will take place as scheduled.
