Waste to Wonder will transform the paper waste caused by shredding documents into new paper that will be donated to participating HCPSS art classrooms! Paper-making will be every first Saturday of the month. This program is a wonderful full circle moment of the upcycled paper from supporting HCPSS families going into HCPSS art classrooms. This way we are reducing the environmental impact of our programs, reducing the costs of supplies for some HCPSS art projects, and preventing unneeded landfill waste (shredded paper cannot be processed by most recycling facilities). If you would like to volunteer at our first Waste to Wonder day on Saturday, July 4th, 11-2 at the Nonprofit Collaborative of Howard County, RSVP on eventbrite, at the idealist link (https://ideali.st/YBXypk), or email alexie@bridges2hs.org with the subject line "Waste to Wonder Volunteer RSVP".
