SESSION THREE: How Leaders Connect Through Conversations

Most conversations at work have a goal – to provide information, resolve a problem, agree on a strategy, or simple to identify a date. A key to successful conversations is for the leaders to recognize what their team members need from them to be successful while recognizing their own needs in the conversation. During this workshop, leaders became better aware of the duality of needs from both a practical and a relational basis while developing the ability to handle both.
Course Objectives
· Apply influential communication and conversation skills to be a leader people want to follow.
· Enhance abilities to use daily conversations that provide the team with what they need from a leader to optimize performance.
· Develop a practical ability to have the “correct” conversation to make the best use of everyone’s valuable time.

Event Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received 48 hours before the event to receive a refund. Tickets available at the door as space is available and only with full payment upon arrival. If the Howard County Government Offices are closed to due inclement weather, HCCC events will be cancelled and reschedule at a later date. Otherwise, events will take place as scheduled.
