Born and raised in Jamaica, I developed a passion for Caribbean cuisine while helping my grandmother on the farm and in the kitchen. As a small business owner of Althea’s Almost Famous, LLC since 2016, I share vibrant Jamaican cuisine and foster community connections while celebrating Caribbean culture. My business offers an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of the Caribbean. Beyond cooking, I’m deeply committed to my community. I partner with local schools and businesses to provide food truck and catering services. I showcase my healthy Caribbean cuisine at festivals statewide and connect with various communities. As a member of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, I advocate for local businesses and share resources. I volunteer at community events and was recently honored with the Corporate Community Impact Award, reaffirming my dedication to serving both food and the community.
