Howard Community College introduced an electrical apprenticeship program in partnership with Independent Electrical Contractors Chesapeake. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the electrical industry is on track for continued growth, and this new program is providing a pathway for students to enter an in-demand field. During the four-year program, apprentices study at Howard Community College in Columbia and Independent Electrical Contractors Chesapeake in Laurel while working full time with a participating employer. Howard Community College will accept applications for the electrical apprenticeship through Dec. 4, 2020. https://www.howardcc.edu/programs-courses/academics/apprenticeships/electrical-apprenticeship/index.html
