Topic: The Importance of Diversity in Your Labor Portfolio
Description: Employee retention and acquisition are two of the workforce challenges plaguing employers in the post pandemic world. Of the many things impacting hiring decisions are a business’ track record of supporting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) especially when it comes to their younger workers or candidates. A recent Deloitte’s 2022 Gen Z and Millennial Survey found that about two in five young people say that “they have rejected a job or assignment because it did not align with their values.” Many businesses profess to support DEI but larger firms often struggle with culture and implementation while smaller firms sometimes do not know where to start. Howard Chamber invites you to a what is sure to be an inciteful discussion as we cover DEI and its impact on the workplace and economic outcomes.
