Culture and Its Role in Employee Retention

The remnants of Covid-19 and the “great resignation” have garnered widespread attention for the current labor shortage. If one digs deep, they will find factors such failure to appropriately recognize employee performances and the presence of a toxic company culture have all contributed to employees exiting and “quiet quitting.” Numerous studies and data note that company culture is the most important aspect of job satisfaction as employees decide whether to stay or leave. Now and into the foreseeable future, the quest for talent will be fierce and heavy and the companies that get culture right will be positioned for success and growth.
