SESSION TWO: Unconscious Bias and Microaggression

This course will explore the existence of unconscious bias and how it impacts our daily lives, decision-making, and workplace. It will also explore the micro-inequities that can arise when differences exist. As pre-work, participants will engage with the Project Implicit tool.
Course Objectives:
· Define unconscious bias and implicit association
· Discuss takeaways from Project Implicit
· Identify major types of unconscious bias
· Explore the existence and impact of micro-inequities
· Share methods to overcome biases
