SAVAGE, MD — A longtime event space at Savage Mill is beginning an entirely new chapter.

Savage Mill will celebrate Savelle Weddings & Events with a Grand Opening on Sunday, November 15 from 2pm-5pm, marking the debut of a newly transformed wedding and event venue in the space formerly known as the Great Room.

Led by owner April Rowe, Savelle has reimagined the venue with a focus on modern design, thoughtful hospitality and the historic industrial character that makes Savage Mill unlike anywhere else.

At the center of Savelle is The Foundry Room, a 3,800 square foot, light filled event space framed by the Mill’s original architecture. Soaring arched industrial windows, white brick walls, polished concrete floors and professional lighting create a modern backdrop while preserving the character of the historic building. The open layout has also been designed to allow celebrations to move seamlessly from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception.

Just outside, The River Deck overlooks the Little Patuxent River and provides an outdoor setting for ceremonies, cocktail hours and intimate gatherings, extending the celebration beyond the Foundry Room.

The transformation goes beyond the look of the venue. Savelle was created by wedding professionals who understand the logistics of a wedding day firsthand. The space has been intentionally designed around how couples, guests and vendors actually use a venue, from early morning preparations through the final dance.

Savelle also brings planning and design directly into the venue experience. Through its in-house Arrow Bella Weddings team, couples will have access to wedding coordination, floral and event design, curated rentals and additional services, allowing the venue and the details of each celebration to be designed together.

The public is invited to experience the newly completed venue during Savelle’s Grand Opening on Sunday, November 15.
